A lovely, dog friendly, tea room, we sat outside at the back. Found it difficult to choose what I wanted to eat as such a great choice, but went for the homemade scone with cream and jam. It was delicious, as was my Flat White cofee.

I had a short break with my sister and stayed for a couple of nights. The B&B, restaurants in the area were all wonderful. The hosts at the B&B were superb and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The breakfast was really delicious with fresh fruits, granola and croissants and pastries. The garden terrace is lovely at the side of the cafe.

Stopped off in Helmsley and decided to get a coffee and something to eat. Called in Porters for first time and loved it. Had some lovely quiche that came with salad. Nice portion size for lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good coffee too. Next time in Helmsley that's where we are going.

Only popped in to get a coffee to go. Very pretty and comfortable sofas, also kind and friendly staff. Coffee was so tasty. Little pricy but no worse than costa or Starbucks. Worth the price and time to go.

Enjoyed a lovely fruit scone and coffee here twice already over the past few days. Cosy, friendly place. Excellent choice of sandwiches etc. Only one small criticism...why french butter (which I think is awful)with my scone and not English butter? Will definitely visit again though.

We stopped at the Porters cafe for refreshments. My favourite dessert is meringue so I couldn't abstain myself from ordering a slice of their lemon meringue pie. What a delight for my taste buds! I can easily say the presentation and the taste of it reached perfection. The service was immaculate, the lovely ladies were friendly and I liked their white broderie blouses. The flowers and plants on the terrace brought colour and tranquility. The whole place is lovely decorated too. I highly recommend it.

4th September 2024 1045am - We saw the sign that it was a coffee shop so stopped here for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pie and cake that we ordered along with our coffee - excellent! Very generous portions - although people complain of pricing in some reviews - and the coffee was the best coffee we have had out that we could compare to the coffee we make at home. Even though the shop is right on a busy road with HGVs going past it was very quiet and a pleasurable experience. It's a shame Google doesn't include the coffee shop in the experience section. It just asks about rooms and refers to it as a hotel?? Perhaps the proprietor can adjust this on Google?
